In a world where local governance can significantly impact our daily lives, the importance of choosing the right leaders cannot be overstated. Jay Evans is a candidate who embodies the values and vision necessary for our community's growth and prosperity. As we approach the upcoming council elections, it is crucial to understand why supporting Jay Evans is not just a vote for a candidate, but a vote for a brighter future for all of us.

The Vision of Jay Evans
Jay Evans has a clear vision for the future of Harford County — one rooted in faith, common sense, and a commitment to bringing people together to solve problems.
Jay believes government works best when leaders listen to the people they serve, respect differing viewpoints, and focus on real solutions instead of political division. His campaign is built around a simple idea:
Decency Over Division.
Jay believes Harford County’s future depends on protecting what makes our community special while planning responsibly for the growth ahead.
Key Priorities
Bringing Decency Back to Government
Like many residents, Jay is tired of the constant bickering and division in politics. He believes the County Council should focus on solving problems, working together, and treating people with respect. Jay will work with anyone willing to put Harford County first.
Infrastructure First – Smart Growth
Growth should never outpace infrastructure. Jay believes development must be planned responsibly so that roads, schools, and public safety services keep pace with growth. Smart planning protects the quality of life residents expect.
Protecting Farmland and Rural Heritage
Harford County’s farms are part of our history, economy, and identity. Jay supports strong farmland preservation while also respecting property rights and supporting farmers who want to keep their land productive for generations.
Fiscal Responsibility
As a regional business leader responsible for managing budgets and operations across multiple states, Jay understands the importance of responsible spending. He will bring a business-minded approach to county government, ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely and efficiently.
Supporting Local Businesses and Jobs
Strong communities require a strong local economy. Jay supports policies that encourage responsible economic development, support small businesses, and create opportunities for Harford County residents.
A Leader Rooted in the Community
Jay grew up in Kingsville, Maryland, and has spent most of his adult life in Harford County, living in Abingdon, Churchville, Fallston, and now Forest Hill. Having lived in multiple parts of the county, he understands the different challenges and priorities facing communities across Harford County.
Jay is a Christian, husband, father, and business leader who believes leadership is about service.
He is the proud father of two adult children. His son currently serves in the United States Navy, and his daughter attends Harford Community College. Both were educated in Harford County Public Schools.
Jay is married to his wife Christie, and together they are raising her two middle school-aged boys who are currently enrolled in Harford County Public Schools.
Faith, family, and community guide everything Jay does.
Why This Election Matters
Local elections often receive less attention than national politics, but the decisions made at the county level directly affect daily life — from schools and roads to land use and economic development.
Jay believes Harford County deserves leadership that focuses on solutions instead of division, protects the values that make our county unique, and works with residents to build a stronger future.
